It is observed that there is lack of good medical facilities in the rural areas. Since there is availability of limited medical help in villages and other backward areas, it becomes very difficult to provide people with quality medical facilities on time. It has become a very major point of concern for government to ensure health of the people is taken care of in absence of doctors and hospitals in such remote areas. Moreover setting up clinics and shifting doctors to such areas is a time consuming task and requires huge investment.

It becomes imperative to find a solution which helps in understanding remote healthcare & telemedicine process and provide recommendations on how to deliver the same solution at a much lower cost while achieving the same success rate

Solution
Mobiquest has developed a mobile based solution to the problem of incapability of reaching out to the remote areas. It has developed mobiHEALTH ™ which helps in reaching out to the vast population based in the rural areas. With this solution, remote health workers who are literate, based in those areas and have little knowledge about how to use mobile phone are hired. They are given training on how to use the mobile application.

mobiHEALTH ™  helps in registering the patients and maintaining all the patient information and their medical history details. Then, the workers can enter the symptoms which can be sent to the doctors and real time diagnosis can be done. The doctor immediately prescribes medicines which are received by the workers on their mobile in real time. Even if there is an emergency case, the doctor can immediately advice the workers to rush the patient to hospital. There is also an option to print prescription from mobile for the rural patient.  Inventory management is also possible with mobiHEALTH ™ which helps in ensuring that there is no shortage of supply of medicines. This solution is not only quick but does not require huge investment. It is a user friendly interface and is available in regional languages.

A secure web backend is provided for creating accounts for medical practitioners, changing password and maintaining patient history.

The Web based control panel is meant for patient diagnosis, sending prescription & administration. Also generation of analysis & reports can be done. The generated reports can be exported in Excel/CSV format.
